I don't think I can do it, or it can be, but I am up for a try, again, sort of....
This is the third activation of The Harpo Marxist Brigade Blog, though per Blogger, I've been here continuously since 2008. We do live in a world where the line between what's true and what's not is less tenable, and harder to discern and maintain, than at any time I can recall in my life. But the truth is, I stopped doing anything here three or so years ago, and eventually pulled down what I'd posted - mostly at the request of a couple of people who feared that if I did not eventually say something that got me arrested, some violent whack job would show up at my door and I'd have to shoot him, or her; and that even if I were up to the challenge and the threat, other people could and would be affected...I believe the last round of rants I posted centered on the gathering of hypocrites to mourn Charlie Hebdo's dead...?
This blog started out as random musings on whatever struck my interest or bother at the time, but it did eventually become some kind of rhetorical experiment to meet the hostility and belligerence of my political enemies on their grounds. I attempted what is possibly impossible: To be a leftist provocateur, a Limbaugh-Hannity-Savage counter-point as equally disturbing, and so, as effective, as that ilk has been. Why in any God's name would anybody want or feel the need to do that?
Well, I had already back then been looking at those sick fucks over at Breitbart, when the namesake meth head was still around, and I knew those were not good guys. Alex Jones was proving he was crazy again and again, but I will confess I would not have predicted that even a piece of shit like him would deny the murders of those children in Connecticut...If that is not an explanation for you, I don't have one for you.
My two previous rhetorical/polemical efforts were not successful, obviously, as vituperative insult is a regular manner of speaking by the criminal eating cheeseburgers in the White House (about which he says, I am told, "It is the WHITE house"... but I digress.) For me, it is still some kind of empirical question: If facts and logic do not persuade people, then what is to be done? This place is for me to think about that, I guess.
